From the director of Ah! My Goddess!

Kei Kusanagi isnt your typical 15 year old high school student. Hes actually an 18 year old with a rare disorder that puts him into what he calls, a "standstill". When he was younger, this disorder left him in a deep coma which stunted his growth for the next three years!

Mizuho Kazami isnt your typical teacher either. Shes actually an alien sent by the Galaxy Federation to observe the Earth! As the sole human being with knowledge of Ms. Kazumis secret, Kei must marry the alien?! Homework, dating, and a gorgeous wife going to school has never been quite this fun!

SamuraiJones wrote: My wife and I really enjoyed watching this together shortly after we were married. The story's about two people who get thrown together without really knowing what's happening, and the events that transpire as they grow into their relationship. Very familiar for us in many aspects...

At least it would have been if they hadn't made her an alien, and if they had just stopped the series after episode 8 (I think it was 8... maybe 10) rather than bring in a space civilization to add unnecissary complications to the relationship. The ending is very strange, and somewhat detached from the rest of the series. It seemed almost like there was the wacky mayham anime and a serious drama superimposed on each other. Tenchi seemed to be able to do it well, but this really didn't.

Overall, it was enjoyable, but it didn't come near to living up to it's full potential.
There's alot of frustrating elements and a strange twist at the end that may as well have been omitted. But if you're able to overlook the bad, there's alot of good here.
